1 Priestfield Road North, Edinburgh

1 Priestfield Road North is a splendid B listed detached Victorian house located in the desirable residential area of Newington. This exceptional property has been tastefully and cleverly extended to the side and rear creating a large open plan, kitchen/dining/family room. Other improvements include the installation of two en-suites shower rooms. The property is set within a large plot and benefits from a driveway to side offering parking for several vehicles and beautiful gardens to the front, side and rear.

The truly impressive interior retains some stunning period features including original Terrazzo tiling, attractive fireplaces, stripped and varnished floorboards and in particular the striking decorative cornicing and ceiling detail in the drawing room and master bedroom. The accommodation is generously proportioned with an abundance of natural light and from the first floor wonderful views of Arthur’s Seat can be enjoyed.

Dundas Street, Edinburgh – Four Cellars, Four Transformations

A simple recommendation can lead to big changes. One of our clients was advised to contact Property Repair about their unused cellar — and after discussing the possibilities, they decided to go all in: four cellar conversions in total.

The goal? Each cellar with a distinct purpose:
Home Office – A quiet, bright space to work from home.
Dry Storage (Documents) – Safe, organised storage for important paperwork.
Bike Storage – A secure and accessible area for bicycles.
General Storage – Extra room for household items and seasonal belongings.

Here’s how we made it happen:
1️⃣ Strip Out – Cleared old finishes and debris to prepare the space.
2️⃣ Plaster Tanking – Applied a waterproof barrier to protect walls from damp.
3️⃣ Delta Membrane Installation – Extra moisture protection and peace of mind.
4️⃣ Floating Frame – Constructed floating walls and a floating chipboard floor to isolate the rooms from residual damp.
5️⃣ Plasterboard & Skimming – Smooth walls and ceilings ready to decorate.
6️⃣ Woodwork – Skirtings, doors, and finishing touches for a professional look.

✅ Result: Four fully functional, dry, and tailored cellars — perfect for work, storage, and everyday use.

From recommendation to completion, Property Repair handles every step of the journey — technical expertise, smooth project management, and results that transform spaces.

Melville Street, Edinburgh – Renovation

Property Repair was commissioned to revitalise a grand New Town townhouse on Melville Street, Edinburgh — a project that began with an unexpected leak in little Oliver’s top-floor bedroom.

After Insurepair expertly reinstated the damaged room, the homeowners entrusted Property Repair with a full, carefully planned transformation of the property. What followed was a comprehensive renovation spanning every level of this elegant home.

All bedrooms and en-suites were beautifully refurbished, the games room was refreshed and modernised, and the kitchen was upgraded to enhance both functionality and style — all while respecting the townhouse’s classic New Town character.

In the second phase, our team carried out extensive roofing works to ensure the property was not only restored but fully protected for years to come.

We also completed the meticulous painting of the traditional sash-and-case windows, preserving their period charm while giving them a crisp, renewed finish.

The result is a thoughtfully renovated, watertight and exquisitely maintained Edinburgh townhouse — a perfect balance of heritage, craftsmanship, and modern comfort.

Midlothian – Bathroom Renovation

Property Repair, an Edinburgh-based renovation specialist, was commissioned to elevate a dated ten-year-old bathroom in a Midlothian home into a contemporary masterpiece.

The transformation showcases a sleek ultra-thin shower tray framed by a crystal-clear glass partition, a luxurious rainfall shower, and a wall-hung WC and wash hand basin that create a clean, modern sense of space. Marble-effect wall tiles pair effortlessly with large-format black speckled floor tiles, while a beautifully integrated wall mirror enhances light and depth throughout.

Solid oak panelled doors introduce rich warmth, and a built-in bath TV adds an indulgent touch of modern luxury.

One of the standout architectural features is the floating, protruding ceiling — finished in a soft water-based white eggshell with a striking raised section in charcoal grey — adding dramatic dimension and a bespoke design flourish.

The result is a sophisticated fusion of natural materials, contemporary lines and smart technology, leaving our client absolutely delighted with their stunning new sanctuary.
